TPS Family Carols is a ‘mustn’t miss’ event for so many in our locality that it generally sells out long before it takes place. The Chapel of St Augustine, Tonbridge School, fills with soft candlelight and hums with great anticipation from old and young alike. A wonderful selection of carols and Christmas songs are sung by our choir, with contributions from other groups to add variety and sparkle. Add to the music a number of readings appropriate for the season, and you have  a moving and uplifting start to Christmas for the 600+ in the audience. 

Of course there is little that is happening according to plan in the musical world this year, and we have, with the greatest regret, had to cancel all but our February concert. We are watching carefully the guidance provided by Public Health England and the government regarding when singers (and our fellow players) can meet again and spend time rehearsing, but at the moment there is little optimism. It’s the breathing out that is the problem!

Nevertheless we are exploring ways in which we can share our enjoyment of this special time of the year with you and get your celebrations off to a good start, so watch out for more information which we will post as soon as things become clearer.
